Brooke Ence is back on the podcast, this time to talk about recovering from a neck injury, describe her approach to training for Regionals, and explain how she makes sure she’s balancing work and life.

Balancing is less important, she says, when you’re “doing something that you love so much that you don’t feel like you need a break from it.”

These days, Ence is doing what she loves at the gym, on social media and on the big screen.

“We’ve got corruption. We’ve got death … and that is the public health scene,” Glassman explains.

“There is no doctor that isn’t seeing the problem, seeing the mess, and the mess is the unprecedented incidences in rates of disease with an utterly ineffective and extraordinarily expensive response.”

Topics for the day also include CrossFit’s success in its court battle with the NSCA, Glassman’s reflections on writing for the Journal in the early days of CrossFit, and lucky socks.
